Project Sunkalp | Camp KVT-MDTK-052 | 02.09.2026
35 people from Karunai Ullangal, Poonjeri, came forward to take an important step towards protecting their health through early cancer screening.
At the Project Sunkalp cancer screening camp held at Karunai Ullangal, Poonjeri, Madurantakam, both women and men from the community participated:
22 clinical breast examinations
35 oral cancer examinations
The camp brought together 22 women and 13 men, reinforcing an important message: cancer awareness and early detection are for everyone.
Cancer does not always show obvious warning signs in its early stages. Regular screening can help identify suspicious changes earlier, giving individuals the opportunity to seek timely medical attention and improve their chances of better outcomes.
For many communities, accessing specialised healthcare can be challenging due to distance, cost, time, or limited awareness. By bringing screening services directly to the community, Project Sunkalp is helping remove these barriers and make preventive healthcare more accessible.
Every person who comes forward for screening is taking a proactive step towards understanding and protecting their health. These camps also create opportunities to spread awareness among families and encourage communities to make regular screening a part of their preventive healthcare routine.
Through Project Sunkalp, Kalpavriksham Trust continues to work with communities, healthcare professionals, local organisations, and CSR partners to expand access to cancer screening across Madurantakam.
We believe early detection should be within everyone's reach. Together, we can build healthier, better-informed, and cancer-aware communities.
Kalpavriksham Trust is registered under 12AB, 80G, and CSR-1 (MCA) and is listed on NGO Darpan. We provide transparent, camp-wise impact reports for every CSR partnership.
